Whenever my sister-in-law happens to meet any one of my relative by chance, she always makes sure she complains about me. I find it very disturbing as she does it even with my distant relatives who have no clue about anything and take potshots at me. What can I do?

Hey, I'm sorry to hear you have to go through this sort of unacceptable behaviour. Have you directly spoken to her about it? If not, why don't you try telling her how it hurts you when she talks like this? If you think it will be better to speak with your husband first, if you think he will understand, you can discuss it with him and see. Else talk to her directly and ask her why she does it. Ask her how she would feel if you insult her in front of your and her relatives. It may sound rude, but sometimes, you really have to stand up for yourself instead of expecting it from others.
