What are some ways to raise kids to be athletic?
If you have set a routine for your children, means they have a schedule for sleeping and waking up in the morning, you can encourage them to play some sport. In the mornings, you can take them to play football, tennis, or just simple running. Have them to pole exercises. This will not only help them gain height, have athletic body but they will also remain energetic the whole day. You can play along in the park. When I was in Mumbai, I used to take my daughter to the park everyday in the evenings, I would notice each day that a man would come everyday with his kids and would play with them. One day, the father and two kids would cycle for an hour or so. The next day, they would run and take several rounds of the society, and the other day, you would see them playing football or badminton. Encourage a healthy and active lifestyle. Expose kids to the outdoors instead of cooping them inside. You could take them to the park to play catch or football with other kids. if u live close to a park, then take ur child out to play there. if there are more of his age group then arrange for play dates and timing in the park. if no park around then join a sports club which have regular sports activities lined up like tennis, badminton, cricket etc...but keep in mind ur child's needs and limitations.Read more
