What are some gifts that you will give in laws or own parents during cny?

Ang pow is the best I feel. For old people cash is good. Also buy some cny goodies for them but old people don't eat so much so no need to buy too much. Maybe nian gao and flowers for the mothers. Abalone , fish maw and dried mushrooms such things should be good for them too

My in-laws are those who want face, therefore, every year, I'll get them a hamper and must make sure there is abalone inside. As for my parents, I'll pass her the $. She can buy whatever she likes.

For in laws, we will give a hamper with CNY goodies like fish maw and bak kwa and abalone. For my mom, we will buy and get whatever is needed during CNY. Then def give angpow for both sides

I will split the list with my siblings. Ask my parents what they want (usually is cny goodies or food related stuff) then we spilt it. Will also give parents money for cny to spend

For me, a good meal, time and some money. I would not give a hamoer, i feel they are over priced. Abalone, bird nest or chicken essence, ginseng for health!
