Recommendation on angpao for confinement by own parents

My mum will be helping with confinement help during the cny period, because confinement rates by companies quoted at 5k is way too much. I intend to give her an angpao/ gift for the confinement, any recommendation on a reasonable sum? In addition, my parents/ in laws will be helping to take care of my child after maternity leave, is there any recommendation on a reasonable sum to reimburse their time?

Average, $1K~$2K. However, it still depends on how much you can afford and at the same time not having to struggle with your finance. Work out a sum, offer you parents/PILs to see if they can accept the sum. 😊
