What should you do when your toddler is hitting you and does not seem to want to stop

Try to calm him/her down 1st before speaking with him/her. Once settled down, speak with your toddler in a stern manner. Don't scold him but asked him why is he behaving like that and share with him that the actions he has done is unacceptable and is wrong. On the other hand, you may wish to let him know that what if people treats him like dat, he will not like it too.

Grab hold of him and calm him down slowly. Give him sometime before talking to him. There may be something that is bothering him but he doesn't know how to express thus the behaviour. He might be too young to control his emotions. Have a good talk with him.
