Hi, For this you will need to see a speech therapist. He can help and guide you if there is some problem. And you need not worry even if there is some problem as well, because speech therapists are professionals and they know how to resolve things. Many kids start speaking late as well, so that may be the case with your kid. I hope you know that Bollywood actor, Hrithik Roshan had problem in his speech. He used to stammer a lot when a kid, but everything became fine and today he is one of the finest actors of the film industry. All I mean to say is, even if there is a problem with the speech of the child, there is no need to worry. Just find a good doctor for him and work towards him getting fine. http://www.letstalkspeechtherapy.co.in/about_us.php https://www.practo.com/mumbai/speech-therapist http://www.rfhospital.org/doctor-directory.html
It's still not so late. Some kids start slow but speed up later. Still, if u feel, u can see a speech therapist. In Mumbai there's a center called Drishti that helps with various issues like speech and certain learning constraints. But I feel u wait it out for another 6 months, till he's 3 to 3 and half years.
i understand your concern, but some babies actually start speaking up by the time they turn 3. if you are okay to wait, i would suggest give your baby some more time. in the meanwhile, you can discuss this with your baby's doc and find out about some good pediatric speech therapists.
you could still wait a little more and in the meanwhile encourage your baby to speak by talking a lot. if you still want to visit a professional immediately, speak to your baby's doctor and ask for a pediatric speech therapist.
