What is the best advice your mother gave you?

It may sound weird but my mother never advised me anything. I grew up to knowing all those basic things; as to respect your elders or be kind to people and be grateful for everything was always the thing that I felt I was born with. Her teaching was so natural that I felt that I was born with it, and I think that is the magic that mothers do.
