Crazy maids - what to do?

Sikh maid, Arshdeep Kaur strangled her 2 1/2 year old ward after she was overcome by a rush of emotion brought on my a mental condition. She had arrived only 7 months ago from INDIA. The mum got worried when she realised that the cctvs she had installed suddenly lost picture and got the neighbours to go and check. The Maid had run away by then and the neighbour could not revive the boy. Such a scary story man. How do we ensure our helpers don’t go crazy like this and attack our babies?

I think one should try to understand your Helper and their background before they start working for you. Once you know their background you can ascertain to a 80-90% accuracy if they will cause trouble later on. Also try to treat your helper with respect, which also means letting them have their appropriate off days and access to a phone and internet so they can Contact home if they are feeling home sick
