Should you wake a sleeping baby to feed him just to keep up with the feeding schedule?

i won't say you need to, especially if your baby is doing good on the weight. even though it is said that you should feed your baby every 2 to 3 hours in the first few months, it is important to let your baby sleep. you can always watch out for the signs of hunger, as your baby will give definite cues, such as puckering the mouth, getting restless, moving the head side to side. when that happens, you can gently start feeding. sometimes, your baby will feeding even in sleep, so no need to wake up :)

Bad idea...u can give him the feed while he's sleeping...the system of burping should be applied...but all this can be accomplished while baby is sleeping too.

Never wake up a sleeping baby even if for a feed. A baby never goes hungry so if he is hungry he'll surely cry and wake up.
