Louder for people at the back! Thank you so much for this. As a first time mom, I actually felt pressured to breast feed my baby even though I wasn't producing enough milk for my little angel. To the point where my significant other and I spent "thousands" of money investing on breast pumps because we thought these pumps just didn't suit my breasts to help me produce more milk. Lactation treats, moringa capsules (different brands), malunggay tea, fenugreek capsules. I took all of these in a desperate attempt to boost my milk supply, not only because I wanted to provide my baby better "food," but because I also felt "mom-shamed" for not being able to give my little angel something these "perfect moms" think was so easy to produce. If only they know how depressing it is for us to force our breasts on our little angels in hopes of giving them our "liquid gold" 😢

Thank you for sharing this sis. We spent thousands for pumps and supplement but mahina talaga gatas ko. I was really planning to breastfeed but hindi talaga kaya. I shared this to some mommies I knew and I felt mom-shamed and alone. Tapos panahon pa ng covid. Buti na lang I have a supportive hubby na reminded me that what is important eh busog si baby. Fed is best.

Honestly speaking, there are moms out there na kahit kaya nilang magpadede ng breastmilk ay mas ginusto nila na magformula na lang. (di ko nilalahat) Dami ko kilala. They have given the chance na other mommies doesn't have. Proper education about breastfeeding and self-motivation is the key for successful breastfeeding.

Ang say ko naman po dito is "my child, my rules". For sure po yung mga kakilala niyo ay may valid reason kung bakit sila na opt to use formula milk instead of breastmilk. Hindi naman lahat ay privileged to be stay at home moms. Yung iba kinakailangan magwork ng matindihan kasi single mom and wala na talagang time para magpump. Please don't be so harsh sa mga kakilala mo na nagopt to use formula without knowing the real reason why they did so. 😊

Super Mum

this is 200% accurate. 😭 be sensitive please. In my situation I have a plan to exclusively breastfeed my child since I was pregnant but I was not succesful. My daughter doesn't want to latch since she was already used to the feeding bottle because she stayed at NICU for 3 days. I had my breastmilk in 4th day but it wasn't enough for her. I dont want her to be hungry so Im giving her formula. Lucky are those who was able to breastfeed their child since the beginning and having enough milk, but please dont take it as advantage to make other mothers feel less of a mother.

Sana naiintindihan ng marami what we've been through

Youre right! Almost 1 month after i gave birth. And i feel frustrated. Kasi lahat ng napapagtanungan ko bfeed and bmilk. And yes i understand and i would love too bfeed my child as long as i want. But i dont have enough. 😔 i feel down and depressed. And i think i failed as a ftm. 😔😔😔 and now i decided na mag mixed feed.

This is on point! I get their point naman po you have to consider na baka kaya sila nagtatanong ng formula milk brands kasi hindi sila nabless ng masaganang breasts? Please be a bit more considerate sa pagcomment. 😊❤️

Ehh ayaw nga, kasi nasanay siguro sa NICU formula bottle fed for 7days. Huhu.

Agreed! My milk supply is not enough too. At first, its really hard to accept coz people keep on telling that breastmilk is only the best for baby. What ever we give to our little one, it will never make us less of a mother. We all want the best for them, that includes to feed them well. ❤️
