My baby did that for some time too. Because she associated me with breastfeeding.. so if I carried her to try to make her sleep but didn’t latch her on, she got very worked up. She would be even angrier when I tried to put her in the cot. It took me time to learn how to pat her and calm her down, as well as pat her to sleep, although at that point, my husband still had higher success rates in getting her to sleep (without latching).
