I think it's okay around the toddler age, however, that's only if you do the proper research and purchasing. You HAVE to make sure that you buy younger children headphones that have volume limiting adjusters to ensure the sound is at a safe and acceptable level. That means no ear buds, and nothing that doesn't explicit market itself as "kid-safe" or "volume-limiting".

Ako, I let my 3-year old son use my headphone pero share kami. Magkabilaang side kami sa earphone so I can check if ok pa ba ang volume. I rarely let him borrow it though.
5 I would say. At least yung pwede mo ng pakiusapan na wag masyadong malakas ang sounds ha baka mabingi ka. Wag muna mga toddler, masisira ang eardrums nila ng maaga.
Siguro mga mga 5 kase sobrang nakaka sira talaga ng hearing ang earphones na kahit matatanda e naaapektuhan din. Pero syempre closely monitored pa din dapat.
Avoid po pagamitin ng earphones na may earbuds kase kinakain nila yung mga yun e. Delikado baka ma-choke.
