I suggest to make toothbrush a fun bonding activity niyo ng kids. Do it together and you can teach her pa the proper way of brushing teeth either by singing while brushing the teeth or like make it as a fun competition kunwari paputian ng ngipin--which in a way will help make your child conscious about her teeth.

I agree with Janine. You can think of a more creative approach so the child will be encouraged to brush his teeth. For my baby, we really play music near the area where he takes a bath. We do the brushing usually after taking a bath in the morning kasi and another one at night time.

I practice reward system. There are times when my toddler doesn't really like brushing his teeth. I always tell him he couldn't eat his favorite chocolate and sweets anymore if he doesn't brush his teeth.

You may want to buy a toothbrush that is attractive or enticing to your child so that he'll get excited every time you'd ask him to brush his teeth. Pwedeng with sounds or lights basta maaaliw sya.
