Yes, please! Always wash new clothes/under garments even if they're in a plastic. For undergarments you can handwash also and yes I do use detergent.

of course.. wash all new clothing as they were most probably on the dirty factory floor.. be it hand wash or machine wash use with laundry detergent

I can’t imagine not washing newly bought underwear before washing- imagine the dust, insects, hands, etc that came in contact with it 😅

Machine wash with hot water first. There is still new fabric smell if hand wash for the first time. 😅
