My partner lives in US long before we had a baby and soon enough, we'll be migrating to his place. What language do you think I should teach my son? English or Filipino? I don't want him confused, as I've learned that teaching two languages somehow delays speech, however, I also don't want him to forget our Filipino roots. What do you think is the best way to deal with this?

My husband and i agreed that he will speak to the kids in english while i speak to them in tagalog. Like you, we don't want them growing up not knowing how to speak tagalog. So far, it is working with my kids.
