My child has recently started to wake up terrified, with glassy eyes and crying. Is he having nightmares? After some time, he just goes back to sleep.

same goes to my little one, its been quite sometime now, she keeps on crying at night and seems like having a bad nightmare. Upon my observation, she'll cry at night whenever I am asking her not to do this etc. So we are trying as much as we can not to shout or scold her but still letting her know that is bad in calm and nice way.

has there been any changes in his routine? talk to him if he is sacred of something or someone, night terrors do occur but check external factors which might be causing it also ensure your kid isnt watching scary stuff on mobile/tv and refrain your kid from watching anything on tv/mobile atlest 2 hrs before naptime.

hi.it can be a nightmare or stomach ache . kids often get it due to gassy stomach. give gripe water or a pinch of Heng with water to ur baby... both are harmless so u can try. I do it n my baby gets relief also n sleeps well

If he is able to respond to you, then he is having a nightmare. Comforting him back to sleep will also help. http://sg.theasianparent.com/nightmare_vs_night_terror_dr_jenny_tang_kkh/
