Immediately file a complaint against the school and the assaulter if you know him/her. This is horrible!! Don't let them go away with this easily. Talk to your kid, poor thing unfortunately had to go though this terrible experience, tell her that everything is going to be fine and thank her for telling it to you.Tell them that the person who did this, has done something really wrong. Stay calm, don't make your child feel that her disclosure has made everyone upset. Do not talk about this with anyone else in front of your child, she will feel embarrassed and might stop sharing things in future. After such incidence, child begins to loose trust in adults. So try to re-establish the safety, assure them that she is very safe with her family. But also make her aware of wrongs and rights in a human behaviour. I agree, you might want to take her for a few therapy sessions to ensure her well being and for an expert guidance.Take care of your little girl, please let me if you need any sort of them, this needs to be stopped!!

Oh gosh! I’m so sorry to hear that! No child should be subjected to such actions!! This is what I’ve found out that you could do. Please bring your child to a healthcare professional or hospital for a health check. Also, make a police report. I think you can also report the case to Ministry of Social and Family Development, 1800-777 0000. Investigation will be carried out and professional assistance will be provided. Really hope these information helped. Here are the websites that I’ve gathered the information from: http://app.msf.gov.sg/Policies/Strong-and-Stable-Families/Supporting-Families/Family-Violence/Child-Abuse http://www.hpb.gov.sg/HOPPortal/health-article/7164 Take care!!

God .. this is sad and somehow i feel the anger too. First, report what happen then ask the school board to held the meeting. How come this is happen in educational zone? Where is the teacher? What is the punishment and what they plan for your kid so she doesn't get traumatized? when you untangled the line. Make sure your kid is fine, check to the doctor and if doctor recommend therapy session, you have to do it. Last thing, if you and your kid seems hard to forget what happen, i urge you to move your kid school. Start the new beginning.

This is very sad to hear. @hui has made some very good recommendations. Firstly, get her checked both physically and psychologically to get a better idea of her state. Also, these experiences are traumatic so it's best if handled with love and care. Definitely, file a police report to find out who did this and even if you know who did this make sure the person is punished for such a heinous act. Wish her all the very best.

I or my friends have not come across any such incident so I do not have a first hand know how of how to handle this. But I think it will depend a lot on how your child is behaving after that and how much she is able to talk to you about it. Try to calm her down first keeping your anger reserved. Once your child is a bit normal, make all your efforts to teach the ones who have done this a big lesson.

This is horrible!! I am sorry to hear that. Immediately file a complaint against the school and the suspect. I do agree with taking your child to have therapy sessions. Reading this article might also help: http://www.parentsprotect.co.uk/what_to_do_if_a_child_tells_about_abuse.htm

It is never easy for the child and the parents to go through this. Support, affirmation and endless love are what the child needs and wants most. Bring her to see a psychologist for early intervention.
