To warm up breast milk, simply hold the thawed (thawing overnight in fridge can help shorten warming time, thawed milk can be kept in the fridge for up to 24 hours, do not refreeze thawed milk) or refrigerated milk under lukewarm running water to warm it up. Alternatively, you can also place the sealed container holding the thawed milk into a bowl of warm water for about 20 mins to bring it to body temperature (around 37 degrees). Be sure to avoid using hot water so that you can preserve the full nutritional value of breast milk. When warming, make sure that the mouth of the container is above the level of water. After warming, swirls the container to mix the cream. Do not reuse any unfinished breast milk. The milk could be “contaminated” by the bacteria from your baby’s mouth. It is best to discard. If your baby consistently fails to finish the whole bottle, you can try putting a smaller amount into the bottle for each feeding. In the event that your baby appeared to want more, you can always prepare another bottle for her. This will help minimize wastage.

yes its necessary to use soap coz breast milk is slightly oily. u could use soap with some warm water

I normally take the packet of mulk out from the freezer and put it directly into the warmer. Iam using unimom storage bags and avent express warmer. Works really well.

You can soak the parts in warm warm with a few drops of dish soap and then rinse through thoroughly with hot water.
