Salam momma, it's not must to take the test however the risk of having a baby with Down Syndrome increases as the mother’s age increases. With that being said, i didnt take the test though i found out that i was pregnant with my 2nd child at 40. Allhamdulillah my baby is fine. Sending you the link of how the procedure is done also a link to a post from a momma who has gone through the procedure in kkh. https://community.theasianparent.com/q/went-down-syndrome-test-how-done-blood-test/3047850?replyId=29258691&d=android&ct=a&share=true https://youtu.be/bvVrFSBnbvM
I took it but I don't rmb that early. me and my hub discuss and we decided that if baby has any issue we will terminate pregnancy. I think you have to discuss with your hub. it's a life and there are some parents who rather don't test it to know after all they will just bring their baby to the world. depend on individual thinking too.
That’s a bit too early. Usually done at 12-13 weeks, because part of the test also requires an ultrasound scan of the baby’s neck to be done, and at 5-6 weeks, you can’t see that
That's what my gynae told me during my visit last Monday. She didn't mention on how many weeks that I should take the test. So I'm not sure if it's a must to take the test.
i didnt. baby came out healthy. nonetheless, whatever the situation is, she's still my baby. I'll accept her unconditionally. 🥰
I think it can only be done between 10 to 12 weeks pregnant...Do check with your gynae
No. Doctor will only advise to take the test from 10 weeks to 13 weeks.
yup did the oscar test advised by my gynae but I can't rmb which week.
Too early to take the test now. Must wait until 10 weeks old.
Any mummy do amniocentesis? How much it costs?
