No issue with frozen BM just that it'll have a fishy metallic smell/taste. Doesn't mean it is bad but some babies may not like the smell/taste. Worth a try though. Understand your hubby's concern although it is still misplaced. It is your hard work and love and I will rage if I ever had 7l of bm go down the drain just like that. However if u are feeling generous and don't wish to push the issue with your hubby, you could donate to babies whose mummies don't have enough bm.

Thanks mummy! Yes especially the painful massage sessions to clear my clogged ducts😩 Thankfully husband agree to feed the frozen bm, and baby seems ok with the taste phew~ Am feeding fresh + recent stash..those older stash probably will use for bath.

I throw hundreds of packs of my bm bcos my baby stops drinking from bottle for 4 months, then after that I tried to use one of the frozen bm but the smell like fishy smell, so I better give the fresh one (less than 48 hours stored in chiller), afraid if she doesn't like it, she will strike again 😅 u should try to smell and taste ur frozen bm compare to your fresh bm then decide. anyway if ur baby still can drink then should be fine

Noted thanks mummy!

Frozen BM is still much healthier and made by you to meet your unique little one’s needs. It will always be better than formula. You can always mix frozen and fresh so it doesn’t have that frozen taste. Just let the frozen one thaw first in the fridge and then add fresh. Hope you continue on your BF journey, it Just gets better and better with time

Oh ok thanks mummy! Didnt know that I can mix frozen and fresh!

What is his reason for refusing the frozen bm? Frozen bm can last for a few months, and it can still be fed to baby without any concern. On a side note, it saves abit of money to make use of the frozen bm than buying formula.

He feels frozen bm is not fresh enough for baby..rather spend money buy fm

Frozen breast milk is okay.. Express is much better too.. if u cant finish, u may also opt to donate to those in need, just post on milk donation fb page

Frozen milk is still better than formula milk. If your baby doesn’t mind the taste, don’t waste it.

Give fresh one. Frozen can keep for months. Can use if your supply cant keep up or for bath.
