Hi mommies my girl is in infant care and they will feed porridge for her. She s starting to learn to self feed and can do fairly well with assistance. But she sleeps real early evday like 830pm and we reach home 7pm. Don't feel like giving her porridge for dinner anymore. Noticed she like to self feed by picking up utensils so I tot of offering her steam chunkier food for her to practice chewing as well and I don't think she need a full meal at dinner time as she drinks her milk before she sleep. Food like steamed broccoli.. steamed salmon...steamed chicken for her to use her hand hold and eat. However my concern is that since she's now learning to self feed using utensils..will I confused her by letting her use her hand to eat her dinner? She s 15mo btw

It's ok. Self feed using hands are called BLW. They will be able to juggle well between utensils & hands. So no worries about it.

It's okay. Baby led weaning is good. You won't confuse her. She will probably start to adapt to the environment

Don't worry. Its normal to use both utensils and hands my baby is 14 months old and he does the same
