As many people suggest that parents should become friends once their kids enter teens. Do you think it is required?

yes, what's the harm? in fact, if you behave as parents as well as friends with your teens, it will make it easier for your teen to communicate with you.

It's not required but it would be nice, no? But... don't force it, and they may come around later once they've grown more mature

Not really required but in most cases it help parents understand them better. Kids become more open about how they feel

Yes I totally agree with that. Be firm in making decisions still but it's always good to treat them like friends...

Yes but do give them their space too. They'll feel comfortable to come to you whenever they have problem
