infant with rash near butthole

My LO rashes near butt hole area still cannot fully recover. Coming to 2 months already. Some days looks good and some days the redness is there. Is it because it's girl, hence it's more sensitive? Mustela didn't worked for her Purple desitin too strong for her. Cerandan was recommended by PD when we brought her in mid Jan. It got better but slight redness still there. Using Jo Lauren balm. It works well for neck and armpit rash but not her rash near her butt hole. What other diaper cream or balm would u suggest? PS: butt wash after poo, diaper brand from merries to plantinum Huggies and frequent diaper change. TIA!

last time my daughter have bumpy redness near the private area, never gone even after I use desitin blue for a week, so I went to PD and he prescribed Zarin as I don't want medication with steroid, he said if not getting better than no choice, but her rashes did gone after put that cream, it's only an antifungal cream, but it works for her.

Depends on what kind of rash it is. If it is a fungal rash, you'll need fungal cream to get rid of it. Best diagnosed by doctor. Although I noticed you said u had gone to PD already, may be worthwhile going again or to another doctor to get a second opinion. It is rather unusual to have a rash lasting this long.

There is a stronger medicated cream under Desitin brand. It is purple colour tube

Purple is too strong for her.

You can try TMC baby balm. It is quite gd. My gal also has it on and off.

Desitin blue? It’s my go-to for diaper rashes.
