butt hole area rash

My 5.5 mths LO butt hole area rash (not butt cheek) has been around for 1 week already. Stop putting barrier cream and seems got slightly better. After bath or wash, the area near butt hole got red again. But after awhile the redness subsided. I think I'm gonna bring LO see doctor for a peace of mind that it's just a normal rash and not something i should be worry about. Just wondering if I should bring LO to PD or skin doctor? My mummy LO experienced it too?

Which cream did you apply? For my baby’s worst rash, I used Desitin Rapid Relief and it completely cleared within 3 days. During this period, make sure the bum is dry before putting on the diapers (some wet wipes are too moist, so I air dry or use tissue to dab). I also don’t wash the area too much. Again, moisture and soap is bad for healing. Hope your baby gets better soon!
