I've been reading a lot of articles on the internet about how we praise our kids "too much". Is this a real problem? How do I build my kid's confidence without overdoing it?

We have consulted a psychologist before kasi my youngest sister has developed an overly confident behavior and she doesn't listen to anyone anymore. She's so hard to deal with coz she thinks she's always the best in everything. The doctor explained that it could be she was too pampered when she was younger, since bunso nga. Halos ayaw pagalitan and we would always praise her coz she's really pretty and always excels in class as well. The problem was her attitude became really awful.
