In other countries, kids address their parents using their first names while not so much in India. I am not in favor of addressing them by their first names? What are your opinions parents?

I'll agree with you here. In fact, I am also not in favour of addressing parents by their first or any other name. While I truly am a friend to my daughters, there is also a side of me where I am strictly a mommy first. I personally feel that as long as we keep a clear understanding of the parent child relationship, it fosters better respect. Of course in today's parenting world, we're all friends to our kids, but we're parents first, so sticking to the age-old ma papa still makes sense to me :)
