Ideally, your goal should be to get your little bub into the routine of eating like a one-year-old, a 'big boy.' This means, you should give them three meals per day with two small snacks in between. Plus, you should treat formula milk or breastmilk as supplement to the meal and not a meal by itself. So if you're bub is anywhere between 4 and 6 months, give him two meals, each two to four tablespoons. If you're bub is anywhere between 7 and 12 months, give her three meals. Each of these should be the size of his fist.

we started with 1 meal a day at 6mo, and it was just something really simple like carrot sticks or potato sticks. boil them till desired firmness and cut them in sticks so it's easy for him to grip. have fun!

Start with baby rice in a morning with a bottle I found my daughters loved that and gradually involve more food during the day x

I'd suggest starting with 1 small meal a day.

thanks
