I'm going to start my son on solids next week. He's currently on 5 milk feeds. Do I drop a feed as he starts eating solids?

You shouldn't drop feeds immediately as your baby's main source of food should still be milk. Solids are meant to complement milk feeds until the child reaches 1 year old, so you can take this time to experiment and see what type of solids your baby likes! http://kellymom.com/nutrition/starting-solids/solids-how/ http://www.bounty.com/baby-0-to-12-months/weaning/how-to-wean/cutting-down-on-milk http://sg.theasianparent.com/introducing-solid-food-to-your-baby-in-4-easy-steps/

Nope, baby's main source of nutrition would still be from his milk. For my son, he gets his pureed fruit/vegetation about 1.5 hours after his milk then I'll give him a bit of water (30ml).
