I am scared. Im 34 weeks and 4days pregnant. Been experiencing contraction but not frequent now I have severe back ache even leg cramps plus a headache and pelvic area feels like cracking. I had a thick white mucus discharge yesterday morning. I just talked to my OB and advise me to monitor baby's movement and visit her on July 21 which I will be exactly 35weeks. She will check me up and will give medication depending hows my cervix is doing. I hope its still close and would let me deliver at 37weeks atleast.

Not in NICU but in hospital if weight is not enough and if child has jaundice . My second child had jaundice and need to stay in hospital for 3days but not in NICU . My youngest who was born 27 weeks need to stay in NICU for 2months

It depends on the weight and status of baby on delivery. If baby crying well with good apgar score. No laboured breathing then no need to put to nicu. Some cases may need to observe for 6 hours before transferring to nursery.

My LO was born at week 35 weighing 2.3kg at birth. Doctor sent him to NICU to monitor him as he is breathing slightly faster. Other than that baby was healthy 😀

I give birth to my Dotter 36 week it's preterm... Some how I been induce using 2 pill to inserts... Thanks God... No need to put her to nicu..

Mine was born @37wks 4 days but was sent to NICU to monitor on his heartbeat and breathing. But its just a one day monitoring.

Hi, It very much depends on the weight and health of baby. If it is normal then I don't think that there is any need for that

Unless is super premature like 30 weeks or so, yes need stay nicu. If 35 or 36 weeks should be normal baby ward.

Super Mum

Week 35, 36 is almost full term, as long as there's no serious complication likely can go home normally
