For first-time mummies who are finding it tough to continue working during pregnancy due to discomfort from sitting for long hours, there are several strategies that can help make the situation more manageable: 1. **Take Frequent Breaks**: It's essential to take regular breaks to stand up, stretch, and walk around. This can help alleviate the discomfort of sitting for long periods. 2. **Invest in a Comfortable Chair**: A supportive and ergonomic chair can make a significant difference in reducing back pain and discomfort while sitting at work. 3. **Use a Footrest**: Elevating your feet slightly with a footrest can help improve circulation and reduce swelling in your legs and feet. 4. **Practice Good Posture**: Maintaining proper posture while sitting can help reduce strain on your back and prevent added discomfort. 5. **Stay Hydrated**: Drink plenty of water throughout the day as this can help reduce bloating and discomfort during pregnancy. 6. **Consult with Your Employer**: Discuss your discomfort with your employer to explore options such as flexible work hours, remote work, or modifications to your workspace to make it more pregnancy-friendly. 7. **Consider Maternity Clothing**: Wearing comfortable and loose-fitting maternity clothing can also help reduce discomfort while working. Remember, your health and well-being during pregnancy are a priority. It's important to listen to your body and make necessary adjustments to ensure a more comfortable working environment. https://invl.io/cll6she
i feel you. i had it rough throughout my pregnancy resulting in a lot of NPLs. when i tried to ask how other moms do it they hit me with the βjust do itβ, βwe have bills to payβ which kinda resulted in me feeling really shitty cos iβm alr struggling and the answers i got were not helping. i feel like at the end of the day if youβve got the support of your husb to quit your job thatβs the best. not saying we were financially stable when i quit. but we had enough to go by. iβm now 9 months postpartum and still not working. we still have enough on days we think we donβt. now i canβt wait to start work again so i get the financial freedom i once had!
My job require a lot of presentations, standing and going up and down stairs. I took a month of NPL last four weeks of first trimester coz I was having light headedness and feel like blacking out. No doctor willing to give HL.
First time mom here. For me, I worked till Iβm week 38. I donβt know how I managed through it but well, maybe thinking about bills to pay, giving baby a better life, earning money and endurance work for me π₯²
