How to parent together with a husband who is not committed and negligent in child matters

Husband is passive (only like to focus on his own life) and careless (eg dissolve salt in 60 ml instead of 120ml for nasal rinse for a 2yo). Not going down the path of divorce but want to learn how to manage and not affect my child.
