How will my baby look in the first moments after labour?

Not very pretty. You might find that your newborn might have a pointed head (more common with vaginal deliveries) and his face looks squashed up. Many people have described the looks of newborns as "strange", "ET-lookalike" or just "ugly". It's because they've spent so much time soaked in amniotic fluid that their skin is wrinkly too. Not to worry. I'm sure you'll still feel like your baby is the most beautiful human in the world, and thankfully he will start looking more and more like a cuddly newborn in days to come. http://www.pregnancyandbaby.com/baby/articles/941853/changes-to-your-babys-head

Haha, don't expect your newborn to come out really cute. He will be very wrinkly, weird and as Jamie put, very strange and ET-lookalike. For me I thought my son looked like a mini frowning uncle with fat squishy cheeks.

I love newborn look, they are so tiny and cute. I don't find newborn is ugly at all. You will probably miss the first sight of your newborn in your hands right after birth.

thanks
