The experience of delivering a baby in public hospitals in Singapore is generally regarded as positive, with many parents commending the high standard of medical care and professional support. Public hospitals in Singapore, such as KK Women's and Children's Hospital and Singapore General Hospital, are known for their advanced facilities, skilled medical staff, and comprehensive maternal and child health services. They offer a range of birthing options, from natural births to cesarean sections, with an emphasis on patient safety and comfort. The hospitals also provide prenatal and postnatal care, ensuring that both mother and baby receive the best possible care. Feedback from parents often highlights the efficiency, cleanliness, and supportive environment of these hospitals. Experience at NUH was excellent, from the gynae to the nurses and midwives. Waiting time for clinics is usually still long, can’t escape from that. But my gynae was very good. Midwives were helpful and encouraging. Post delivery, ward nurses and lactation consultants were very helpful too, especially when it’s your first baby. I was a private patient there, because I wanted privacy when it came to breastfeeding. For my first delivery, there were no single rooms available the first night, but the staff were just as professional, and they transferred me to the single room the next day once it was available.

I delivered at kkh last november. Had a normal delivery there. The labour nurses were very good and experienced. Doctor that attended to me was good too. Overall i had a pleasant experience for my first time.

Great at kkh. Very sweet and encouraging doctors. Never know their names. Forgot their faces but will always remember their kindness.

As long as you go for hospital orientation and briefing before the delivery. Should be fine
