Small toys:- For small plastic toys with batteries, clean the outside of the toy with warm soap and water, making sure to remove any stuck on food or dirt then use a Dettol Anti-bacterial Cleansing Surface Wipes to sanitize the outside. Rinse the toy with water and dry before handing the toy back to baby. Larger toys:- Clean the surface with soap and water, wipe with a Dettol Anti-bacterial Cleansing Surface Wipes, and then rinse with water. Depending on the size, it may be easier to use Dettol Anti-Bacterial Surface Cleanser and then wipe or rinse with water after usage. Please follow label directions. Fabric toys:- Wash in the laundry with soap and hot water. Depending on the type of toy, you can either hang dry it or place it in the dryer. If you're worried about its stuffing clumping, place it in the dryer with a batch of new tennis balls. Toys are such a great learning tool for babies of all ages and it’s important to clean your baby’s toys regularly so they stay happy and healthy!
You can try to keep the toys in a concealed box after each play to minimise the toys being exposed to germs around. With this method, you can wash the toys weekly instead of daily. Toys cannot be washed like batteries operated toys can be wiped using wet cloth or toy cleaner. I am using BabyGanics Toy & Highchair Cleaner.
