How would you compare the love for a spouse and the love for the children?

Both r different. Now that we r staying at my inlaws he always make sure his mum shouldnt get hurt or worried (she breaths down my kids necks excessively causing alot of conflicts) so i stopped caring for him n concentrate on my kids.
