SHOULD I BE WORRIED?

Hi. FTM here and my son turned 18 months last week. I just really can't stop worrying that my son has some delays. I often read articles or topics regarding early signs of autism and maybe thats the reason why I became a little paranoid here. Acc. to the guides here on the page, my child's age should be saying atleast 10-15 words already and unfortunately, he is not. I wanna convince myself that maybe he is not ready yet but eventually he will be. Normal words he can say are, DADE, DADA, NO. But he can respond to anyone who's calling his name. He can also walk and run alone. He loves to dance, play and eat. I am just really thinking if he could be considered now as undergoing SPEECH & LANGUAGE DELAY. Pls. help me mommies. ?

hi momi hugs to u..ive been there seryoso! lahat na ata binasa ko na and lahat ng group chat pinuntahan ko na para makahanap ng kasagutan..my baby back then has never said any word na maayos as in. mag 2 na siya pero he is not consistent sa words, pag pinapaulit ko yung words nakatingin lang di nya masabi, tapos parang minsan ung feeling na di nya ako naiintindihan, nagtitiptoes pa then ang kulit. nag ask na din ako sa pedia and if gustu ko daw mapanatag ang loob ko i might as well find or consult a dev ped. Pero my hubby assured me na nothing is wrong..narealized ko din na di ako naging consistent sknya sa pag tuturo, hinde rin siguru masyado nakakausap kasi madalas naka tv so inayos ko sched nya, tinuruan ko and pinapasok ko sa play school kasi wala kalaro sa bahay aun nag improve.. ngayon kaka 4 lang ang daldal although makulit pa din at bulol, he is now talking and forming sentences napaka pilosopo na nga din. hehe. be consistent momi u can do it. if he looks at u kapag tinawag mo ang name, follows simple directions and walang repetitive actions he is definitely normal..but there is no harm in consulting ur pedia or dev ped kung ikapapanatag mo.
