My boy have been sucking his pacifier 24/7 except during his meals and because of that he didnt babble much.. Its been a week now that i confiscate his pacifier and only give him when he throw tantrum.. so he’s very loud now (happy mummy) but he have not start saying mummy daddy or anything.. He understand instruction very well.. should i been worry or he will start talking soon? He just turned 17 months old in march. Anyway tips how to boost or make him pronounce some words?

My daughter was a relatively late talker, almost 3 yrs old before she spoke in complete sentences. She's now 8 and is a chatterbox! I think it should be OK, some kids are late talkers but they absorb a lot of information in other areas:) Just read to your child everyday etc

Actually, just keep talking to him, and reading him books every day + singing songs repetitively:) don’t worry too much!

Yes please don’t give up:) Now when I’m teaching my almost 4yo to read, she’s also sometimes quite distracted. Haha. But when she does concentrate, magic happens. Heh. These kids are amazing sponges, absorbing information at the speed of lightning
