Depends on the fruit. For younger babies that need softer solids, better to steam then blend an apple/pear. Soft fruits like banana/papaya can just mash and feed.
Prefer not to steam as it will destroy the vitamins or antioxidants in the fruits. I wash them carefully before purée it for my lo. :)
Depends on the fruits, if is banana or papaya I don’t steam. But if is sweet potatoes, pumpkin or carrot, I will steam them first
I didn’t steam the fruits. Just wash thoroughly with water and then purée it and mixed with cereal.

Fresh fruit just purée but veggies need to be steamed first to make it softer
