C-sect wound

Do you apply scar cream on your c-sect wound? My gynae said if never apply scar medicine, keloid will form. Any advice?

I used scar cream as advised by my Gynae; she said it’ll prevent the scar to become keloid. However, my wounds usually become keloids, no matter how small or superficial the cut is. So in the end, my c-sect wound became keloid even after religiously applying the cream. 🤣

Good to use actually. It is essentially a steroid cream that prevents excessive scar tissue forming. Use only when your wound has fully closed and is healing well as it thins the skin.

You can apply whatever gynae prescribed. I was only prescribed wound wash and some kind of cream - not sure what it's for, but I didn't have keloid

my gynae gave me a scar cream, I should've apply it at least once a day, but I rarely apply it, cos too busy with the baby

No cream. I let it be but if prescribed by gynae it should be safe
