C section wound care

Hi mommies, i had done my c section 2 weeks ago, and my gynae asked me to removed my silicon plaster and start applying the scar cream soon. I’m wondering if you still wear the binder after the cream without anything on top of the wound(except scar cream)? Would the friction from the binder makes the wound open up or infected later on? Please advise. Thank you
