Dont have to tell what reason to take MC, just say u got doc appt and u will take MC. When i was doing ivf, i need to frequent take MC (maybe few days once). I just say i got doc appt and will take MC. My manager out of concern ask me what happen and i only say is woman illness and he just stopped asking. Anyways he see the MC is from kkh they will know also.
Just say you're not feeling well. Don't need to elaborate further. Some bosses aren't understanding. My boss even warned a few of us not to get pregnant at the same time and/or must discuss with her first before getting pregnant. So better not to say anything first until week 16 or when start showing.
I actually pre-empted my boss, but I apply as annual leave because don't want people suspect anything since its kkh mc.. and the following week after I hinted my boss, I had bad morning sickness which my boss is very understanding.. so I feel boss can tell first, is ok..
not sure for u but when I have confirmation by doc that I am pregnant, I told my boss but of cos not to colleagues.. so they can better manage things like reduce ur workload and understanding of ur first tri if any discomfort, can maybe WFH etc .
I informed my manager and 1 close colleague when I found out at 4-5 weeks, cuz I felt that I needed some support at work from people I know I can trust and rely on. The rest of my colleagues I only told them after I crossed the 12 weeks mark.
don't understand bosses who micromanage their staff. Just say migraine or diarrhea.
why need to tell boss the reason? can just say not feeling well what
It’s your entitlement, there’s no need to tell them why you’re sick or why you’re taking leave. Just say it’s personal and you wish to keep it to yourself/family and hope for his kind understanding
just tell boss u have dr appt..and pass them the MC after back to work
Mmm... Just say u got some regular women's check up.
not feeling well thus the need of MC.
