It really depends on the child and how comfortable parents are... 18mo is the age of intake, and there are classes there are 3hrs, so a short day for them to socialise and learn. nothing too stressful in a way. do check out the place and talk to the educators for a better idea!

Hi, the age of enrollment into Montessori would depend upon how physically and mentally your kid is prepared to adapt the environment outside home. There are schools where people enroll their kids from the age of 1.5 to 2 years.

Yes! 18 month old is too young for Montessori. 2 and half is a great age to start a Montessori preschool program. At this age a young mind is exploding with questions. Everything around them can provide the spark for learning.

I think it depends. Some children adapt to school easily whereas some take longer. You may want to start off with shorter hours so that it is easier for him. You can extend the hours once he's more comfortable in school.

Nope, montessori programme for preschool will be an exposure for 18 month old. From 2.5 years onwards, they will usually start afresh again as the memory retainment is not that long to remember from 18 months to 2.5 years.

If you want a less structured programme, look at Emilio Reggio schools. Most of the Eton House schools follow this. They let the kids guide the curriculum for the day depending on their interest levels

There are some Montessori Schools that have a wonderful infancy programmes which have been created for 18-24 month olds. You may want to look into them.
