Diaper Rash

hello. My 1 month old baby has been screaming in pain everytime she poo. I noticed that there are red spots around her anus. Is it diaper rash? How many days does it take to recover? I've been spamming diaper cream. Thank you in advance.

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that your little one is in pain. It does sound like your baby may have a diaper rash, especially since you've noticed red spots around her anus. Diaper rash can be really uncomfortable for babies, but the good news is that it usually clears up pretty quickly with the right care. First off, make sure you're changing your baby's diaper frequently, as keeping the area clean and dry is key to helping the rash heal. You mentioned that you've been using diaper cream, which is great! Make sure to apply a generous amount of diaper cream with every diaper change, especially after cleaning your baby's bottom. You can also try giving your baby some diaper-free time to let the skin air out and heal. Lay her on a soft towel or blanket and let her go without a diaper for short periods throughout the day. If the rash doesn't improve within a few days, or if it seems to be getting worse, it's a good idea to check in with your pediatrician. They can offer additional guidance and may recommend a specific diaper cream or ointment to help the rash clear up more quickly. Hang in there, mama! Diaper rash can be tough, but with some extra TLC, your little one will be feeling better in no time. Take care! https://invl.io/cll6she

Hi! Yes it happened to mine too and unfortunately it is diaper rash. Best to keep that tushy as dry and clean as possible which means faster diaper changes, thicker barrier cream applied and air the bum as much as possible in between diaper changes. I also started using stronger diaper cream and saw improvement (only for a day unfortunately) then it worsened again. Breaks my heart but it's something that all babies will inevitably go thru :(

hello thank you for replying 😭 how many days it typically takes? so poor thing keeps screaming in pain..

Change to cotton ball to wipe whenever she poo. Don’t use wipes. My baby has red spots, or rather skin peel like that cos wiped too much. End up visited PD and she gave antiseptic wash and a cream to apply after each poo. Then last apply desitin in thick layer. It does helps but if still poo a lot also slower to heal. She’s now going into 1 month and the poo frequency has reduced so that helps in e peeling part too 😂😂

My 1 month had diaper rash as well, used drapolene on him doesn't help & got worse like blisters. In bet will clean him with tap water & air the bum. Changed to Desitin, the purple type (contains Zinc Oxide),it works tremendously for him. Hope this helps Mummy 😊

Cleaning bum regularly with a damp cloth helped for us… we also applied vaseline layer on top of the diaper rash cream. It creates an extra layer of wetness protection

hey ladies try washing his bum2 instead of solely relying on wet wipes. I think it helps to keep the area clean and wipe thoroughly before wearing pampers
