In many cases, you can breastfeed before smoking, drinking or taking the drug or medication, and simply pump and dump until at least three hours after your last substance intake. When in doubt, pump and dump.

My LO is 16 weeks old. She used to drink ebm in bottle initially but now only wants to latch on only. she refuses milk from the bottle now and I'm back to work any advice?

I had hard time as well. My baby live direct feeding and hate bottle feeding! She won’t accept it at all! Tried many bottles and the only one she accepted was medela - normal bottle not the calma. Pls give a try! Finally she loves the bottle.

Hi Ms Kang, as a first time mummy without proper knowledge in handling and storing breastmilk, I will really wish and appreciate that you can address my following questions: I dont latch my baby so do we also require to feed on demand for bottle feed baby? I usually pump every 3 hourly however at certain time of the day (i.e. attend to baby etc), my pumping interval will drag to 4-5hr. Will it affect my milk supply? For milk taken out from the fridge, I use traditional way of warming it (i.e. pour hot water in a bowl and soak the milk bottle). Will this destroy the nutrient of the breast milk? After warming, how long the breastmilk need to be consumed? How long can breastmilk be left in a room temperature & air conditioner room respectively? If baby has consumed the breastmilk from bottle and cant finish, how long does the remaining milk need to be consumed? How long do we need to consume the breastmilk if i put in insulated bottle (i.e. pacific baby 3-in-1 bottle)? Description indicate that the bottle can keep the milk warm up to 6hrs. I was told we should pump 10-15min for each breast. Can we exceed more than the advisable timing?

Hi! May i know why it should not be heat up using hot boil water? I store the milk in freezer so Usually i pour hot boil water into the bowl for heat up

My boy sometimes will fall asleep after latch at night. I didnt get to clean his teeth. Will it cause tooth decay?

With my daughter, I would dampen her bib with water and gently wipe her teeth and tongue :)

I reduce the latch time. From 10 mins to 5mins to 1 min.

Hi Ms Kang I have been latching my lo since birth and up to date, she is reaching 14mths soon.. But however, my supply suddenly dip a lot these few days and I m not sure what is the cause of it.. Is it because she demand less? She still latch at home, to sleep n comfort too.. She does not eat a lot, b it breast milk or food... I am going overseas end of this month for a few days without her.. Im worried by the time i come back really no more milk for her.. Had tried to let her try formula but she does not like it, only take a sip or two.. Need ur advice...

She is above one, you can try fresh milk already. My fully bf son refuse formula. So i gave him fresh milk instead. Does she go to school? When you are not around,how does she take her milk?
