Recommendations for postnatal waist trainer/girdle/binder aft c sect

Hi hi! Need some recommendations for high waisted shapewear / girdle / waist trainers / binder / corset or whatever it's called 😂😂 one that is suitable for c sect mommies. 😅 I'm 3 weeks postpartum and thought of getting one to wear since I'm done with postnatal massage. Also , any ideas how long will it take to get rid of the c sect pouch belly? 😅 I know we can't do any workouts till were cleared for it but I wanna prepare myself for the upcoming months 😂 wanna go back to pre pregnancy weight and be more active this time round. Share some tips / diets that helped you!

You can try 3 pcs binder that support posture and your c section area. Subsequently, you can change to waist lab trainer or any waist trainer with hook. You can also put hot cream before using girdle/binder/waist trainer. When things get better then you can do light tummy exercise.

Confinement nanny

Please get one!! To all pregnant mommies out there, this is my regret!! Because i thought i was young (20) and should be able to bounce back very quickly after giving birth. I was naive back then!!!! I rejected all help to get a CN but i wished i had fought harder to get one. If u dont want a confinement nanny, at least have a caretaker or just any one at all that can help u take care of the baby while u heal from delivery. Normal delivery or c sec, all pain is pain and we just have to heal from it. The physical and mental pain after delivery is simply just unbearable. It does get better, but still super super tiring. If u want proper rest and sleep, do feed formula. If not u will be waking up to pump or breastfeed every 1 to 2 hour( or even less) There’s little to no time to recover !! Mad respect to all the single moms and all moms in general.

How long Lochia lasts after C-Sec?

Hi, mummies, how long does your lochia last after C-Sec. I am still having red colour lochia. Post-partum day 15 now.

Gave birth via vacuum delivery. Couldn't urine so had to be on a catheter for a week initially, followed by 2 weeks and now another 2 more weeks. 1 month of confinement coming to an end and not able to rest and take care of my baby well. Doc not giving any medicine for the urine urge at the moment. Hope all this ends ASAP..

Please take care. Last week, I did respond to someone who had same issue, vacuum assisted delivery and not able to urine. Unfortunately, no medication but to train our bladder and it does definitely take time.

Hi mummies. Can i start to pump at this day ? As my breast is getting swollen and its legit very pain 😭

I would wait a few more days because pumping can trigger labour. Try applying cold cabbage…?

if i have enough milk supply, will eating lactation cookies cause too much milk and engorgement?

Not at all. Whether or not you have sufficient milk production, it is recommended to have lactation cookies if you want to keep the momentum of milk production going. And if you are thinking of bf in the long run. As long as you pump regularly, it should be fine.

Infant formula samples

Any mum who recently gave birth at KKH? Wondering if they still have any sample infant formula milk, or should I buy a tin to prep in advance in case my breast milk don’t start.

you have to buy a tin to prepare, milk formula companies are not allowed to produce samples for stage 1 formula. but if you are asking for feeding baby in the hospital, kkh has lactogen liquid formula to feed baby during your stay (must be fed in hospital and cannot be taken home).

On a urine catheter for nearly 3 weeks since I couldn't urine after birth (vacuum). Currently following up in kkh. Doc said its normal. Just wanted to know if anyone went through the same thing. It has been quite depressing since giving birth.

This is call Acute Urinary Retention. I had this on second pregnancy. I can't urine for days and keep coming back to KKH. There was a blockage on my urine passageway because of uterus. But this is during pregnancy not after that I had it. Idk if this technic help for you. But for me, I did was to be calm, relax, breathing technic, can use bidet to aim at vaginal area, then ill urine. Then ill train myself without catheter, to slowly try urine every few hours. I had a mummy who approach me before just like you and she thought it was only her had it. I refused catheter neither admitted to do it myself so I do at home and train myself.

Hi FTM. I jus gave birth last week. But my emotions is not stable. Feeling so sad and I keep crying non stop. Seeing my hubby cant sleep at night taking care of the baby I feel so sad. How long will last?

If you are feeling overwhelmed, it is normal. However, you both need to work hand in hand. Once you learn the pattern of your baby it will get better. Don't be sad that your husband care for the baby. It is normal to feel that way, but you have to know that you do need rest. If you require helping hand, please reach out to your closest ones. Alternatively to work out on who's gonna wake up at night/morning and who's gonna sleep at night/morning. Don't feel guilty too. You can also reach out to friends for advice or assistance. Remember not to keep everything to yourself. It takes time, trial and error.
