Overdue baby

Wondering how many of you have first born overdue? What are the circumstances that allow the baby to stay in womb longer? And how much longer? Did you have to induce? How to keep baby inside longer than EDD, hoping to keep another week in 😅 and do elective c sec like week 40-41

It depends on the condition of yourself and baby. And also if the gynae & hospital itself allow it. For me, i was not dilated at 38+4w and gynae asked me to induce max by due date to reduce risk of stillbirth and any other compliaction, altho me and baby is in great condition no complication. You can discuss with your gynae. I think for KKH sometimes they only allow until 40 weeks if still no labor sign theyll ask to induce the next day. I also dont want to risk it cs im scared baby’s umbilical cord is wrapped around the neck or smtg
