My husband and I monitor my daughter’s sleep and nap (if any) timings and adjust her bedtime accordingly. We don’t put her to bed at the same time every day anymore, because like you said, her tiredness varies from day to day, depending on what we do. Somehow putting them to bed earlier helps. Because ironically, when they’re overtired (being up for too long), they get even more hyper and can’t sleep.
