At 7 months age, your baby can start with various fluids, purees, mashed foods and such. here are some very easy recipes i have made for my babies and that they loved too. of course they are really healthy too :) Recipe 1: creamy mashed avocado Ingredients: 1/2 cup peeled and chopped ripe avocado How To: 1. Place the avocado in a deep bowl and mash it completely with the help of a fork. Add a little breastmilk to make it creamy. recipe 2: Apple and strawberry puree Ingredients: 1 cup peeled and chopped apple 5 to 6 ripe strawberry 2 tbsp milk (breastmilk is the best option here) How To: 1. Mash the apples and strawberries in a blender. Strain to remove the strawberry seeds. 2. Add the milk and serve immediately.
Hi, After six months usually one start giving solids to the baby. From my personal experience, I suggest that you can give everything that you make at home to the baby. All you have to ensure is that the food that you are giving is nicely mashed and minced so that it is easy for the baby to swallow and secondly, you pick the food items that are easy to digest. The digestive system of the baby is still not mature enough and should give the baby time to introduce him to various kinds of food. Else, you can begin with pulses, soups, all boiled and mashed vegetables, mashed fruits, porridge, etc.
at 7 months you can give your baby a lot of different types of food. some foods that my babies really loved were dal, khichdi, steamed and mashed vegetables and fruits, dalia vermicelli porridge, ragi porridge, rice porridge and such... whatever you give, just make sure that it is soft and properly cooked, so that it is easy for your baby to eat and digest.
You can give the baby vegetables, chicken soup and even minced chicken, dal, veggies, home made fruit juice, and all things that are easy to digest. Do not start with all the new things all at once and introduce new things after an interval of say 4 or 5 days.
