Fish is an excellent source of protein as well as a good source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and iron. All of these nutrients are important for your baby’s overall growth and developing brain. I usually give my baby cod, haddock, threadfin and salmon. When introducing fish, start with small portions such as 1 teaspoon of pureed fish. You can increase the amount of fish gradually. As a guide, wait three days before introducing your baby to another new food.

On top of what has already been mentioned, do avoid fish or seafood with high mercury content. Shark, swordfish and fresh tuna are some examples of high mercury content fish. I'd also avoid shellfish and wait till when baby is older before introducing to his or her diet.

I started with threadfin and cod fish (be careful of the bones).

I dnt think thts a good idea try when the baby is a bit older
