When evaluating a preschool do you also take a look at the toilets and the kitchen?

Yes. When I make a visit to my shortlisted preschools, I will look at the toilet and kitchen on the hygiene levels and safety measures. I feel it is very important to maintain a clean kitchen in school as to avoid food poisoning or stomach upset in children. For toilets, safety precautionary such as height of toilet seats, anti-slip mats on floor. Cleanliness of the toilets also needed to be taken note.

Yes I do. Look at their kitchen, toilets and general permises. If you could look into their cupboards would be good. I got turned off at one of the preschool openhouse. Every where looks clean and tidy but the cupboards that contains training materials were messy.

Yes, I think the kitchen hygiene says alot about the school.
